This topic will cover the meaning of “deliberate indifference” to inmates’ health and safety, the civil and criminal liabilities involved, and practical applications of how to avoid being “deliberately indifferent.” Attendees will learn how to protect themselves and their agency from liability by learning basic precautionary procedures to avoid “deliberate indifference.”
